Design District Neighborhood Guide
Miami's Design District is a compact neighborhood centered on NW 2nd Avenue between NE 38th and NE 42nd Streets, developed since the early 2000s into a concentrated district of design showrooms, galleries, fashion houses, restaurants, and architectural landmarks. It functions as both a destination and a live-work-adjacent neighborhood.
Art, design, and architecture concentrated in a walkable district
The Design District sits in the City of Miami, north of Edgewater and Wynwood, roughly bounded by NE 38th Street to the south, NE 42nd Street to the north, NE 2nd Avenue to the west, and NE 2nd Avenue to the east, a notably compact footprint. It is directly adjacent to Wynwood to the south and shares some transitional character with Midtown Miami to the east. The neighborhood is located between I-195 (Julia Tuttle Causeway approach) and I-395 corridors.
